Personal Training

Every individual is different. The most effective and efficient way to reach your personal goals is to have a personal plan developed with your coach. Our expertise far outweigh just coaching CrossFit group classes. Unlike other fitness facilities in Richmond, we are fortunate to have a training team made up of health care professionals and personal trainers, all ready to help you meet your goals. Our holistic approach to personal training is by far the best in Richmond, Virginia. Our services include:

♦ Comprehensive assessment
♦ Goal setting support
♦ Ongoing nutrition and lifestyle optimization support
♦ Minimum of 4-6 custom designed workouts per week based on your individual goals and ability
♦ Weekly review and feedback based on logged training, sleep and nutrition results
♦ Quarterly 1-on-1 reassessment and planning session

CrossFit Group Classes

The foundation of our program is functional fitness.  We focus on building your body to be capable of doing real life activities in real life positions, not just using an obscure measurement to gauge your level of fitness.  The functional exercises you perform while training at CrossFit Prelude replicate the movements you perform in real life. Standing from a seated position; placing items overhead; pulling yourself up; running; carrying groceries; and holding your child in your arms, are but small examples of the requirements placed upon you every day.  Your workout consists of a diverse group of exercises, with your individual effort setting your intensity level and dictating the pace at which you progress.  Our program is designed to help you achieve your “Something,” and enhance your ability to successfully complete every day activities of life.  The hallmark of our program is the individualized attention you receive as a result of our smaller group classes and interactive coaching sessions.  Unlike other CrossFit or group fitness programs, our CrossFit classes are capped at 8 members.  Smaller CrossFit classes lend themselves to helping you achieve your goals faster, safer, and allow our coaches the time to educate you along your lifelong fitness journey.  Your course of study is customized for you regardless of your age, gender, fitness level, or athletic background.  Read more about our CrossFit Program HERE

Running and Endurance

Hands down we have the best running and endurance training program in Richmond, Virginia.  Are running and endurance program is designed to help you maximize your full potential, as you prepare for marathons, half marathons, 10K, and 5K racing events.  Additionally, we are fortunate to have a team of coaches that have competed at the highest level.  Emily, our head Endurance coach is a three time USA Marathon Olympic Trial Qualifier, and was a member of the United States Army’s World Class Athlete Program, where her assigned duty was to represent the Army at road races across the world.  We are also the only running and endurance program with a former professional cyclist, as well as a Division I track and cross country runner.  Our team will lead you every step of the way (pun intended), in reaching your running, endurance, triathlon, or Ironman goals.

We take an interdisciplinary approach to nutrition counseling.  We are the only facility in Richmond with a Naturopatic doctor, a nurse, and pharmacist, all ready to help you reach your weight loss and nutrition goals.  Our nutrition coaching program is designed to provide you with an easy, science-based approach to nutrition and wellness, using simple behavior modification strategies to create positive change, without the stress of “dieting.”  We are here to help you.  Whether it’s losing weight, gaining muscle mass, or getting better at competitive sports, check out our packages, we are certain we have the nutrition program to fit your goals.  You do not have to be a member of our gym to participate.
