Increased shoulder mobility is an an absolute necessity when performing any overhead movements. If your arms are moving, that movement is occurring along the joints that comprise the shoulder. Bench presses, dips, overhead presses, and anything else involving your arms depend on healthy shoulders and good scapular function. Wonder why your shoulders are sore after snatches? It’s probably shoulder mobility. Can’t do hand release push ups without discomfort or pain? Yup. . . again. . .shoulder mobility. Pass throughs are not enough. You have to do more to drive adaptation, and increased mobility.
