Jess
Coach
Prior to CrossFit, I played collegiate softball and rugby. After a life spent in the team athletic environment, I was a bit lost after graduate school when it came to fitness. I bounced around from big box gyms to boot camp type programs, but never found that team competitive environment I really wanted to be a part of. I took a chance on this fairly new concept of CrossFit in a small box in Durham, NC and fell in love. Since then I have worked out in a few different gyms, but found a home at CrossFit Prelude. After two years of working out with this wonderful community, I was inspired to get my CrossFit Level 1 Coaching certificate with the goal to make CrossFit Prelude the best damn box in the city.
My Training Philosophy:
My training philosophy is athlete centered. I believe that if you can move, you’re an athlete. My goal as a coach is to provide every person that enters the gym a complete, competitive, and challenging session. The adaptability and scalability of CrossFit is what inspires me. Anyone can do it and I hope to provide a quality experience for every athlete.
